How do I scan a single image and how do I scan many images at once?
Now that you have made your most important setting, you can start the actual scan. In the horizontal bar above the preview you will find the scan button and the batch scan button. Click on "Scan" to scan the image with the red frame. Click "Batch Scan" if you want to scan multiple images.
For a film scanner without an automatic feeder, a long click on the Scan button open a menu for selecting the scan mode.
If you start a batch scan, the export dialog opens before the scan. Here you can set some parameters for the scan. If you make a selection here, this will overwrite the settings you made directly on the image. If you do not change the default settings, the settings you have made for the individual frames are retained.
If you want to number your images automatically, select sequential naming under "File Naming" and set a starting index if necessary. SilverFast will then check for each image with this file name which is the highest number already present and add 1 for the file name.
With a click on "Export" you then start the batch scan.
