Unlike SilverFast 8, SilverFast 9 works without a serial number. Activation of the software and management of your licenses is controlled via your MySilverFast account. So don't be surprised if you don't get a serial number to unlock it after your purchase.
Purchasing SilverFast from the SilverFast shop:
When you purchase SilverFast from our online shop and do not already have a MySilverFast account, a new account is created for you automatically. After your purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to set up your MySilverFast account. Through this account, you can:
- Download the latest SilverFast installers
- View your invoices
- Purchase upgrades or additional licenses
Alternatively, you can create your MySilverFast account beforehand and use it to make your purchase, ensuring all your software is automatically assigned to your existing account.
Please ensure you use the same email address for both your MySilverFast account and your purchase. This guarantees that your software is automatically assigned to your account.
SilverFast 9 Bundled with Your Scanner:
When you purchase a scanner that includes SilverFast 9, you will either:
- Find a special website link in your package that guides you through registering and creating a MySilverFast account.
- Receive an activation key in your package. Use this key to register for a MySilverFast account and generate your SilverFast license.
SilverFast 8 Bundled with Your Plustek Scanner:
If you bought a new Plustek scanner very recently and you still had SilverFast 8 in the package, you should find a link in and on your package which guides you through the upgrade to SilverFast 9.
Downloading and Activating SilverFast 9:
Once your MySilverFast account is set up, follow these steps to download and activate SilverFast 9:
Log In:
- Visit my.silverfast.com and log in to your account.
- Click on the "Manage Licenses" button.
Download and Install:
- Download and install SilverFast 9 if you haven't already installed it or a SilverFast demo version.
Activate the Software:
- Open SilverFast and navigate to the MySilverFast tab.
- Enter the same email address and password used for your MySilverFast account.
- Ensure you have an active internet connection for automatic activation.
If your demo version does not automatically upgrade to a full license after purchase, you might have used a different email address during the purchase. In this case:
- Sign out from the MySilverFast tab.
- Sign back in using the email address you used for your order.
Offline Usage
After activation, you can use SilverFast offline for up to 90 days. To continue using it offline beyond this period, an internet connection is required at least once every 90 days. SilverFast will automatically connect to your MySilverFast account when an internet connection is available, resetting the offline usage period.
License Management
- Multiple Systems: You can log in to up to three systems using your MySilverFast account, allowing you to activate the software on multiple devices.
- Exceeding Limits: If you exceed the limit, you can log out from one of the systems or deactivate a license via the Manage Licenses section of your MySilverFast account.
- No Individual Registration: There is no need to register each SilverFast 9 version individually.
Final Reminder
Attention: Ensure you are logged in with the same email address used for your purchase. If your demo version does not automatically upgrade to a full license after purchase, you may have used a different email address during the purchase process. In that case:- Sign out from the MySilverFast tab.
- Sign in with the email address you used for your order.
