However, advanced features like IT8 calibration, are reserved for the full, activated versions of SilverFast.
IT8 calibration is a highly precise and critical process for achieving accurate color management, ensuring your scanner reproduces colors as faithfully as possible to the original. Due to its advanced nature and the need for dedicated IT8 targets, this functionality is exclusively available in the full Ai Studio version (and other specific versions designed for professional color management) after activation.
What Can You Do with a SilverFast Demo Version?
While IT8 calibration is not available, SilverFast demo versions still offer full access to nearly all other functions of the respective software level. You can:
- Explore the user interface and workflow.
- Test automatic and manual image optimizations.

- Perform preview scans and observe the quality of various tools in 1:1 and HQ previews (images saved from demo versions will be watermarked).
