You received a free upgrade to SilverFast 9 but now the license has disappeared from your MySilverFast account?
The email you received the free upgrade notice with, included the sentence:
"We reserve the right to revoke and reverse the free upgrade to SilverFast 9 if there are any discrepancies of proof of purchase or upgrade eligibility during a subsequent review."
Let me explain our free upgrade policy and routine:
Free upgrades are granted for scanners that have been delivered with a bundled license of SilverFast 8. The grace period for free upgrades ends two months after the scanner has been purchased.
When requesting an upgrade and uploading an invoice, the update is processed automatically in a first step.
Afterwards, the scanner invoice is reviewed by our sales team and the purchase date for the scanner is checked. If the scanner purchase is outside of the grace period, the SilverFast 9 upgrade is reverted and we revalidate the bundled SilverFast 8 license.
