During the SilverFast Printer Calibration process an IT8 calibration of your scanner is performed to turn the scanner into a calibrated measurement device which can then be used for calibrating the printer.
You may have wondered already, if you can use the ICC profile, which is created during the scanner calibration, outside of the Printer Calibration function. You can! The profile is used for all sorts of reflecting scanning automatically. The Printer Calibration includes parts of the IT8 calibration which is only found in Ai Studio otherwise. Both, the Standard and the Advanced Calibration are available.
