To do this please follow these steps:
- close SilverFast if it is running and re-launch it
- enter the "Service Dialog" in the initial Welcome screen
- check the box "Remove scanner Preferences" and then
- click "Software Reset"
- Quit SilverFast and turn off the scanner.
- wait a few moments and turn the scanner back on.
- re-launch SilverFast
