Do I need to manually check this at all?
When we publish a new version of your SilverFast 9 product, and you start the software, most often it will offer to update itself.
However, this integrated updater might fail due to an unforeseen reason.
Also, for macOS 15 and up we can no longer use this method due to Apple restrictions.

What to do in those cases to update the SilverFast software?
Simply run the SilverFast installer software again to get current version installed, choosing to overwrite existing data.
The SilverFast configuration will stay untouched, only actual program files are updated and corrected.
