Can I generally change my scanner in SilverFast 9?

 

Yes, with the introduction of SilverFast 9 you have the possibility for the first time to transfer your existing SilverFast 9 license to the new scanner with a scanner change.

 

BUT, there are a few differences to keep in mind.

The differences are defined as mentioned below:

 

Free upgrade SilverFast 8 bundle version within the Graceperiod

If you have purchased a scanner with a bundled SilverFast 8 version,

you can upgrade to SilverFast 9 free of charge within the specified GracePeriod of two months after purchase of this bundle.

However, the functions of the "Scanner Change" are then not activated.

 

Upgrade to higher quality SilverFast 9 Edition

If you decide to purchase a higher-quality SilverFast 9 Edition with an extended range of functions, the "Scanner Change" option is available.

 

You have the option to change scanners twice.
